ASSISTANT FABRIC BUYER
Qualification:
-Seeking an exp'd & resourceful Assistant fabric buyer.
-Must have 1-2 years experience working with agents, mills, and factories.
-Must have working knowledge of knits/wovens
-Must be organized, detail oriented, a self-starter, and a team player
-Strong communication and follow up skills
-Must have experience in a fast paced production environment, private labels & 3rd party testing.
Responsibilities
-Follow up with all new fabric development
-Generate gave code
-Collect and document prices/ leadtime/minimum & surcharge information for every new fabric
-Request quality color standards from design
-Request & track lab dip request
-Track all open production fabric purchase orders, shipping samples, lab dips, weight, discharge approvals to ensure on time delivery
-Maintain fabric tracking schedule for sample and stock & distribute to production team weekly
-Responsible for all fabric request including placing sample purchase orders as needed
-Assist in requesting & tracking fabric & garment test results
-Building & maintaining strong relationships w/vendors
